A Haunted Theater in Denton, Texas
A
Show of a Different
kind One Sunday Belle and I, along with a couple
of friends, took a ghosthunting trip up through North Texas. One of our
stops, among others, was the town square in Denton. There was a theater on
the west side of the square that we planned to examine, since rumor had it
the theater was haunted. When we arrived, we found that a church now
occupied that building, and a service was going on. To kill time, we
walked around the square, then ate at a small café a few doors down from
the church.
We felt paranormal presences in the café, and one of the
waitresses confirmed that their building also appeared haunted. She said
things would fly off the shelves in the kitchen and people reported seeing
ghosts in there. However, since the café was packed, we didn’t linger to
see if we could contact anything.
As we left the café, we noticed the church service breaking up, so we
wandered into the old theater lobby as people were leaving. A few people
gave us, the strangers, curious looks, so the rest of the group decided
they better not intrude. However, I walked on over to the right side
doorway into the former theater section and asked a man standing there if
it would be all right for me to take a few pictures. He gave me
permission, so I walked on in. The theater was empty now, and I snapped a
few pictures.

In one picture, I captured three orbs, one large, two smaller.
Later, we talked to some town folks, and one of them told us the story of
the haunting. A woman had gone to see a movie in the theater with her
lover. Someone reported this to the woman’s husband, and he arrived at the
theater with a pistol. He found his wife and lover down the aisle where
I’d entered, near the front. The husband shot both of them dead, then
killed himself. I’m not sure which orb is which person, but the fact is,
three orbs showed up in my picture.
